About This Site and How We Check Our Numbers

Almost every figure on this site is a computed property of a bet rather than a measurement or an estimate. A house edge follows directly from what a bet pays and how often it wins, which means each one can be recalculated from scratch by anyone who wants to check it.

Four examples, so the method is visible rather than asserted:

A small number of figures cannot be derived this way — the effect of deck count on blackjack, or the return of a video poker pay table under optimal play, both of which require simulation or exhaustive enumeration. For those we use standard published values, and we say on the page that they are approximations rather than presenting them as exact.

Every figure lives in a single data file, separate from the text of any page. The English and Indonesian versions of a page therefore read from the same source and cannot state different numbers for the same game — a failure that is easy to introduce, silent when it happens, and corrosive to the only thing this site has to offer.

The decimal separator differs between the two languages and is applied at render time, so a figure written once appears correctly as 2.70% and 2,70%.

For anything that is not a direct calculation, we rely on regulators, independent testing laboratories, and gambling-harm organisations rather than on operators or affiliate sites:

If a figure on this site is wrong, it is worth more to us to fix it than to defend it — a reference that is wrong once and corrected is more useful than one that is never checked.

Corrections are made in the underlying data file rather than in the text of a single page, so a fix propagates to every page and both languages at once. The review date on each affected page changes at the same time.

Every page carries the date it was last reviewed, shown under the heading and recorded in its structured data. Pages are reviewed at least once a year, and immediately whenever a rule, pay table, or figure they describe changes.

This site carries paid banner advertising. Every advertisement is labelled as one, its link carries rel="sponsored nofollow" so no search engine reads it as an endorsement from us, and the banners themselves are supplied by an external advertising service rather than chosen here.

What advertising does not do is influence anything else on this site. No figure, no ranking, and no recommendation is affected by who is currently advertising. Every house edge published here is a computed property of a bet, shown alongside the arithmetic that produces it — and a number you can recalculate yourself is a number that cannot be quietly bought.

We take no commission on referred players, run no affiliate links, and have no commercial relationship with any operator beyond the banner space itself. Two pages carry no advertising at all: this one, and the responsible gaming page. Placing operator advertising beside a page about gambling harm is not something we are willing to do.

Content is attributed to the editorial team rather than to a named individual.

A named author with verifiable credentials is a stronger signal of expertise, and we would rather have one. Inventing a person to supply that signal is not something we are willing to do, on a site whose entire value is that its numbers can be checked. Until there is a real name to publish, the methodology above is what we offer in its place — and unlike a byline, it can be verified by recalculating any figure here yourself.
